Shanaze has blazed a trail through BMX and Track Cycling from the very first time she tried either discipline.

She is the current UCI Elite World BMX Champion for 2008 having blown away her competition in China in June, a title she won for the first time in Canada in 2007. She is also twice a world junior champion on the BMX.

Alongside her unbelievable talent on the smaller wheels she is also a phenomenal talent on the Velodrome also. She is the lead out for the Team Sprint with Victoria Pendleton and they have won the world title 2 years in a row (Majorca 2007 and Manchester 2008) and are the world record holders for this event also.
